TRICAP/DEP/DPM is positioned directly downstream of the capsule filling machine to perform operations of:
- Dedusting.
- Detection and elimination of defective capsules.
- Detection and elimination of metal particles.
Dedusting operation is carried out by the combined action of an aspiration and an endless screw rotation.
- Eliminates product waste rejected with production (powder slugs, micro granules).
- Empty the loose bodies filled with product ejected from the filling machine.
We have developed 2 types of dedusting screws specifically adapted to each application:
- For pellets and powder not sticking -> Dedusting screw type (DEPSIL) with GMP validated cleaning.
- For sticky products -> Dedusting screw type (DEPNYLPOL).
After the dedusting operation, the capsules are transferred to the TRICAP part that performs the unit sorting.
To comply with the requirements of GMP selection, the following defects are automatically ejected inside 2 specific rejection boxes.
Compliant controlled capsules are finally controlled by the detector of metal particles.
When the presence of metal particles is detected, it comes automatically expelled within a specific rejection box.
DEDUSTING the filled capsules:
SORTING AND ELIMINATION OF FILLED CAPSULES with a deformation on the diameter:
- Capsule with joining defect.
- Telescoped capsules (internal and external).
- Capsules crushed, flattened, oval.
- Capsules with product (powder or pellets) intercalated between cap and body parts.
- Capsules with defect, holes, bubbles, asperity…
SORTING AND ELIMINATION OF EMPTY CAPSULES and separate cap and body parts:
- Empty capsule.
- Very weakly filled capsule (effective if < 15% of the total weight).
- Loose capsule body filled with product.
- Separate cap and body parts.
SORTING AND ELIMINATION of metal particles:
- Sensibility FE : 0,30 mm
- Sensibility NOFE 0,35 mm
- Sensibility AISI 316L : 0,50 mm
